1896 FORMED IN 1896 BY THOMAS MASTERS Originally a foundry for general engineering castings, the company grew to employ over 60 people at its peak. In the 1940s, it began producing castings and moulds for the ingot manufacturing sector, leading to the design of conveyors that replaced labour-intensive operations. OUR HISTORY 1896 1940 1960 2020's 1940 INGOT MANUFACTURING INVESTMENT With the growth of the refining industry around the 1940’s it began to supply castings and moulds to the ingot manufacturing sector. This led the company to design conveyors, which replaced a highly labour intensive operation. OUR HISTORY 1896 1940 1960 2020's 1960 BRINGING CAPABILITIES IN-HOUSE Machine production originally was sub contracted out, but in the 1960s the company bought out the sub-contractor to build and design the conveyors in house. Since then the company dominates the UK market in the supply of casting equipment in the refining sector and exports to all parts of the world. OUR HISTORY 1896 1940 1960 2020's 2020 OVER 400 MACHINES STILL IN-SERVICE GLOBALLY The company’s export markets have grown steadily over the last 50+ years and casting machines have been sent to a wide variety of customers throughout the world.
